IT IS OK TO NOT BE PERFECT. I feel very strongly that striving to be perfect in almost any realm, while it may lead some to great achievements, leads many down roads that end in failure. With this failure, however slight or catastrophic, often comes a lingering feeling of guilt and shame. (And who needs that?!) With specific regard to health, fitness and nutrition, this is a major issue. Society already puts enough “other” pressure on us as adults and even as children. The marketing surrounding these massive industries is not really designed to be in our favor. It’s up to each of us to find our truth. I say all of this to let you know that it’s ok to be IMPERFECT. We all are. But don’t take this as a way of letting you off the hook to be care-free with your health. That would be very unwise. The main idea here is to hold yourself to a higher standard but do so without the pressure of being perfect. Strive to be pretty darn fantastic MOST of the time so you leave room for anything that might be less. Work hard, then play hard. Find balance in everything. Strive to be happy and content.
